Are people doing a bachelorette party? Is this something you are planning or is this completely left to your MOH? Saw recent idea of doing it while at the resort but not sure if I should initiate the planning or leave it to my MOH to come up with. What are your future husband's doing?

My fiancé's friends have been coming up with many ideas for him - but I have to admit I'm a little jealous! His friends are better off financially than my friends are so I highly doubt my friends would plan anything close in comparison. I know it's not a competition but I don't want to have a one evening thing while he gets a weekend somewhere, know what I mean?? I'm perfectly fine with a one evening thing for myself but wouldn't think it's fair if he gets a weekend... Am I being too crazy about this??? I would just like things to be simple and don't see why his friends need to go above and beyond lol

Haha I get it completely.  My boyfriend is currently on a flight to Vegas for his weekend Bachelor party.  Mine will be next Saturday here in Toronto - no idea what's involved - but I'm not really excited at all, as bad as that sounds. I don't begrudge my friends at all and I'm sure we'll have fun, but it's hard to get excited when I know he's in Vegas haha

I didn't get involved at all.  Even though I'm usually the planner of the group and have planned awesome bach parties in Vegas and Cancun before, I didn't want to have to plan my own Bach. party or Bridal Shower

We aren't doing anything at home (both FI and I have asked our bridal parties not to)... But we have been planning on doing something on the Saturday night. The guys will go to the sports bar on site and the girls mojito lounge.... And all meet at the end in the disco.

This is the MoH plan anyway... And she plans on talking to Best Man closer to the date.

I kinda convinced him to not fly anywhere loll I'm terrible! He saw this was totally bugging me and as a result told his friends that if they do anything it can be where they need to fly lol His best man is actually someone who isn't in to spending a whole lot (where as his buddies are more eager to spend) so I'm kind of happy about this loll Just hope the best man handles his plans and doesn't pass it off to some one. I wouldn't be excited either if he has a weekend and I have a day. The ideas his friends have for him have made me increasingly NOT excited about this whole bachelor/bachelorette thing,  which is bad cause I would like to be excited about it....but I'm not.

@@kmk2016 I think that's great - much simpler! And equal! loll I wouldn't mind that if its both of us each doing our bachelor/bachelorette thing there.

@@Lia33 - Haha I'm amazing your FI listened! No way my FI and his friends were going to pass an opportunity to go to Vegas  . Not that I can blame him because I would have jumped at the chance too had it been presented to me

I tried to make the whole "let's save everyone money" and do it both in Cancun, but his friends, esp. the Best Man, were super gung ho to go (of course). I want him to have a fun though, so didn't fight it.  I only let him go for 2 nights and not 3 though haha

@@tygrrlily lol!! Yea he's pretty good with compromising so I don't get pissed off lol Even though I know it isn't in his control completely I just couldn't bare him flying somewhere while I do something locally! I already have joked about this being HIS wedding because of all the people we have to invite being from his side, so I think he feels bad lol It's my wedding too and I wanna have fun too!

At least 2 nights in Vegas isn't bad! What's funny is of course if my MOH suggests flying somewhere I will immediately change the rules loll

I've noticed that when it comes to bachelor parties, guys go to the extreme but usually the bride gets more a tame night. One of my friends had a night here in the city while her fiance's friends took him on a surprise trip to Cancun for a week. Not sure if it's because girls are more conscious of the cost to go all out? It definitely seems to be a theme of the bachelor parties my fiancé has been going to.

Who wouldn't want to got to Vegas!!  I wish, but there is no way i can expect people to come to Mexico and Vegas.

We will definitely be doing something at home because a lot of our friends can't come, so this is a time to party/celebrate with them. My friend not attending asked to be a huge part of this, so she will plan with my BM.  My MOH and other BM don't live here, the same for most of our family, so that is why we are also planning something in Mexico. At the moment we are talking about doing excursions, but I am ok with a night at the Disco too.

We are just deciding to do them separate at home or together.  Also when!

My fiances brother and family are moving to Mexico at the end of October so we may do them before then.

Also we are so close to Christmas so if not October (before they move) it will happen in November, so not to throw too much stuff on people's plates around Christmas.

EDIT: And I will be honest, I am the wild child.  This will be an experience and I will be annihilated.  haha

@@peachykeen159 - What is up with that? I'm not feeling it...unless I'm getting the same treatment - which I won't be lol I'd prefer to keep it simple - on both ends.

@@calgarybride2015 LOL! Nothing wrong with being the wild child ;-) So you have nothing to worry about since you are on the same page about what may or may not be happening - which is great. Sounds like you're fiancé has to worry about you instead of you worrying about him loll

hah! no I still have to worry about him. We both are wild child's, I think this is one reason we get along so well :)

The other day his sister in law (who isn't a big drinker/partier) said to fiance that she doesn't think that many people will be drinking in Mexico.  He almost fainted, and me too when he told me this.  UMMM not only is THEIR family drinkers, so are mine.  She must have hit her head hehe.    The men had been joking about puke buckets at the ceremony (total joke) and this is when she brought it up!

Don't get me wrong, we aren't insane drunken alcoholics, but we love to have fun when the time is right!
