Hello From A Groom

Hi all, 

 

I've been lurking for a while so I figured it's time I started posting.  

 

I don't see a lot of grooms on here, but between my future bride and myself, she's what she calls a family-minded realist who is good at politics, keeping people happy, and making things pretty, while I'm the Type A / creative sort that enjoys researching, planning, DIY, and spreadsheets, so this forum is right up my alley!

 

You guys have some great ideas and insight - I'm in awe of all of the collective wisdom being passed on in these pages!  

 

I have some questions that I'll post in the relevant sub-forums, but I wanted to say hello first.

Hi! It is so nice to see a groom take a part. In my relationship I am the Type A extremely planning oriented one. So he just sits back and let's me do my thing and helps or gives his opinion when asked. This is a great forum you will find a lot of great information on here.

Welcome! It was a groom who gave me most of the info I needed to make my resort decision. It is amazing what you can find on this forum. I also enjoy research, planning and I sure do love me some spreadsheets! (If you decide on Jamaica I have a photographer price spreadsheet I'm happy to send you )

Congrats and welcome to the site! It's definitely different having a guy lurking around, but I'm a firm believer that guys should be involved in the wedding process too!! I think it's a good leadin to how you'll survive married life!!!! jk

 

But you will find a ton of resources here that will help on your planning journey. Whatever you're thinking about and looking for, you'll find it somewhere on this site. Just do a search and it will come up in some way.
