I understand what you mean when I first went to look at dresses I had it in my mind that it had to be flowy and all chiffon and beach appropriate.  That went out the window when I went to try them on

@@TinkerSofi @ @@hyoungquist @@Soon2beMrsJ  Thank you!!! I was so excited to have found it.  A little early though - I wasn't 100% sure what would even be the right type of dress for me so I wanted to start early so I wasn't rushed to make a choice later.

 

I guess that's the breaks! Now this dress can sit in my mum's closet for the next 9 months or so!

I agree!  Pick the dress you want, that makes you feel good and that you want to wear.  The dress I got would not work at many venues, but perfect for a DW in Mexico!  My fiance has always wanted me to wear a backless dress and what better time than our wedding!  This is my dress (minus the strap in the back)....
