How Many Pieces Of Luggage Are You Bringing For Wedding Stuff?

Thanks!  I will keep an eye on the flyers.  Walmart has a 3 in 1 right now for $69! We have to buy luggage anyways as my kids don't have suitcases, but cheaper the better.

We have been buying old suitcases at Flea Markets and such.  This way we only have to fly with them one way and we can throw them in the trash when we are done.

We are each packing one suitcase for our clothes (2)

1 Suitcase with our centerpieces

1 Suitcase with our waterbottles

1 Suitcase for the rest of our welcome bags

1 Suitcase with gifts for bridal party and family members

We are asking that our family members all help us out with taking luggage.

Thanks for sharing everyone!  I'm hoping that by splitting a few of our items amongst our close guests (our parents) that we'll be able to keep it to just 2 suitcases and our carry ons.  I'll need to keep my eyes peeled on any sales on suitcases.

I am going to Cabo in 2 weeks for a post-wedding visit to the resort and my WC has agreed to store some of my wedding goodies, so I am bringing 3 large suitcases (I bought 3 suitcases from the thrift store which I will leave in Cabo after the wedding), full of wedding items such as all of my OTT Bag items, my guest book, wedding signage, escort tags and maracas which will be stored until our wedding day in February.  I am sure in February I will have at least 1 more suitcase of wedding items to bring with me.

I've been worrying about this too! I think our checked bags are allowed 50lb. We will each have one and one for our son but hopefully we can share one for clothes and just use the other for wedding stuff. I'm going to have like 40-45 tumblers so that takes up a lot of space! I'm pretty sure my dress won't count as a carryon, plus I have a baby so we'll have diaper bag, purse etc for the kids. Then FI can take our clothes and necessities on his carry on. Our parents both said they share a bag so they will each have one checked bag free that we can have them carry down for us. its going to be a lot easier getting the stuff back then down there! So much to think about!

If you stack your cups you can save space. If you have them full with lid on (we are putting stuff in our cups) we need a 30 inch suitcase to fit 48. Heheh yes I tried!

@@calgarybride2015 - Are you stacking them and packing the lids and straws separately? i love that you tried it already :).  We have about the same number as you

At this point I plan to have them assembled in the suitcase.  Minus the straw as they get in the way of packing them back to back to back.  We will add the straws in Mexico.  Our flight lands at 230pm and we planned our welcome drinks for 730pm, so I don't really feel like getting there and rushing to assemble them all.

I was also dorky enough to weigh it all to make sure it fits specifications :)

If I am in a bind and need a bit more space for decor I may stack them.  But stacking them, then having the hangover/oh sh!t contents packed separately may take just as much space.  Did that make sense?

If I wasn't putting the supplies in the cups, I would probably just stack them.
