We're getting married at the RIU OCHO RIOS March 26th! It's a beautiful property as my fiance and I were there last January where we got engaged! We wanted to bring our friends and family back there so they could experience the wonderful hotel and ambiance in Jamaica, Mon!

 

I've noticed that there isn't anyone getting married the same week as us, We'll be there from March 22-29, then off to Negril for a week for our honeymoon! (I've also been to Negril and HIGHLY recommend staying there!)

 

 

I've been reading up on this site and have gotten such useful information! Thank you all and I look forward to getting to know you ladies!!

It's so great to hear that you got engaged there and loved it so much that you're choosing to get married there as well! That's fabulous news for me who's never been there but obsessively check the reviews on Trip Advisor almost daily!!

 

So what are your plans so far? How many guests are going with you? Which location did you choose for your ceremony?

Thank you all for a warm welcome! I've tried to get my pic to go on my profile but still figuring stuff out! Yes! It IS a beautful place and what I like about it is that it is so big that people can have some private time on their own or hang out with everyone. I'm having the same issue with deciding which property to go with in Negril for our honeymoon and can't decide with all the positives and negatives on trip advisory. We have 16 people confirmed so far, our wedding is at 4:00pm (on the beach-I wasn't too impressed with the Atrium on the Ocean View end of the hotel - I have pics if anyone would like to see some), then we've hired the steel drum band from 4:15-5:15pm, (Haven't decided on champagne and nibblies but probably will go for it) photos until 6:30 when dinner will start (Haven't decided where yet), Only an hour and a half at the restaraunt, no time to waste on eating LOLOL!~as we want to get the party started ASAP at the Disco that we've rented for 2 hours 8:00pm-10pm!!! That's it so far. We have 6 people in our wedding party, I have my dress but not the bridesmaids yet. We're going to order Linen for the guys, has anyone ordered linen on line? It's the only place to get it this time of year it seems. I haven't decided on a full photography package yet, any suggestions?

 

Jerzzygirl...I'm sure you've already posted your experiance on your big day at the RIU! Do you have a link i could check out?! CONGRATS to you!!
