We gave the option to RSVP by mail, or by email. We made a generic wedding email to make things easier. People loved being able just to email it in, we got a ton that way. The only people that mailed them in were the grandparents(don't have computers so we didn't put that option on theirs)

This may be an odd thought, but is it even necessary to do RSVPs? After sending out the STDs and invites, people should be placing their deposits, and after the deadline date, wouldnt your travel agent be able to tell you how many have booked? Just thinking out loud...

You bet!!! I think I had one person (my dad) not RSVP but he did pay.

What I liked about making them RSVP is that we got to know if they had any allergies for the dinner, room preference, etc. As we had made those things they had to fill out on the RSVP page.

Me either lol but then I was looking at my forms from the resort and quickly added those!

I had even forgot to mention the dress code. Fiance's aunt asked so I quickly added that too :). I'm not overly picky so didn't cross my mind.

We asked people to reply via email or website, but we did put it on a separate enclosure in our invitation.  We had 1 person give it back to us in person, and we've had a grand total of about 15 people rsvp at all haha

We figured we're just going to keep track by actual bookings

I used a website ... some people have RSVP'd but didnt make a deposit... im not sure what to do about those... wedding in june 2015

I had a tonne of people RSVP and not pay their deposit for awhile. I focused on reminders to them before the rest as they had shown actual interest. But everyone did get a reminder.

I made a spreadsheet hehe and different colors meant different things so I knew who RSVP'd. Who paid. Who was staying elsewhere, etc. At the end of the day only those who pay matter though as harsh as that sounds.

I'm doing RSVP via online at my wedding website. My grandmother is my oldest guest and she managed to book her room online and she calls me so I'm not too worried about her. This saves cost and time. Honestly I received a wedding invite from a friend a month ago and I was excited to go straight to her website to RSVP it was very easy and I didn't end up "forgetting" to mail in my RSVP like many ppl do. Also since this is a destination wedding you may need rsvps for various events such as an excursion, rehearsal dinner and farewell brunch etc
