Tygrrlily's Planning Thread - Beach Palace Resort - 12/19/14

Recommended Posts

@marinah84- Vistaprint is SO fast. I think they arrived within 2 days.  The estimation is always something long, but I always choose standard shipping and it comes within 1-2 days.

Yes I wasn't sure about sizing either!  The medium or oversized postcards are both nice sizes.  The rack card is a bit smaller for a door hanger, but I'll make it work

@@calgarybride2015 - Yes, start your planning thread! You're less than 4 months out now :). This thread also keeps me accountable and I get excited to update it because it means I've finished something!

I have actually ordered business cards from Vistaprint before.  I got the basic personal ones.  The card stock is really similar to what I got for my itinerary and thank you letter. It's glossy on one side and matte on the other. I thought about doing business cards for the luggage tag or room tag inserts, but I'm just printing them myself because I don't need all that many and I can fit like 10-12 on a page so it's quite cheap to make!

How did your luggage tags print out?

I finally found something for mine, that fiance and I both like, but importing it into Vistaprint ruins it (like you said)... so I will probably just print at home!   I think I have enough to use my vistaprint coupon regardless.

I was going to do most myself on my printer, but that coupon made it seem like a great deal. After printing all my invites, I have to assume I must be low on ink LOL

I didn't know if I could start my planning thread until I had everything done - but it seems I can do it the way you are as well :)  I could start working on one!

@@calgarybride2015 - They printed great and I totally just copied and pasted a graphic I googled! The cards are quite small.

I thought about waiting too, but I actually like posting the process :). I get excited when I finish something and can post about it haha.  Also, some of the other more recent planning threads all seem to be following this route

Yep, I like the do as you go approach, it's a work in progress! I didn't realize that wasn't the "point" of some of the other threads...oops!

hehe, no I think posting as you go is great!  I just know that I spent some time going thru the older planning threads and most were done a day or two before they left or after they got back!

It never dawned on me to keep posting new items because at first I thought people would only look once and never look again!!!

@@calgarybride2015 - I think for brides that read old threads, it's great.  But there's probably always a bunch of brides planning weddings at the same time, and in that case, it's fun to read as they go along! I know I was reading NJBride's thread eagerly everytime she updated :)

Lily - your whole thread is absolutely incredible! You are so talented! I don't know why on earth you would say you can't DIY! You're a marvel at it!!!  I really can't wait to see how it all comes together! My gut says it will be spectacular!!!
