Hi Ladies, I'm getting married in December and was wondering if you used a travel agent to help your guests plan their trip? I'm expecting about 25 people and so far, the travel agent has been nice but a little pushy and prices aren't much different from on-line sites Not sure it's worth it

Replied on your other post that was similar, it really is beneficial to have a TA IF you are working with a good one, there are many benefits that matter in a DW keeping your travel group together and booked as a wedding unit can earn you perks, can sometimes result in a lower price for guests and eliminates issues with overbooking and coordination of your guests over your DW travel dates. Not sure how your TA is being pushy but sometimes they are privy to much more info (ie they may know that the resort you want it almost sold out and if you don't book ASAP you may be out of luck... Etc). Work with someone that you get along with, has great relationship with the resort you are interested in, and who specializes in DW.

Thanks kmk2016, this is very helpful! Mostly, she's been unable to get any air/hotel discounts and wants to get everyone booked NOW. when I find lower rates on-line, I'm a little hesitant to send my guests over to an agent asap if they can coordinate on their own for less. But, I do see the benefits of someone else getting the group all together.
