Pinata

Has anyone thought about doing this for their wedding? Or would that be too hokey? If so, did you bring yours from the states or did you buy it there? Did guests enjoy it?

I read somewhere just can't rember where but yes someone did do a piñata and they had someone who worked at resort get it for them. The WC can do it but it was cheaper through the worker on the resort...I believe she paid 50.00 filled. .

im doing one for my daughter bday 2 days after the wedding..im going to bring the stuff to fill it but will have to find someone to get an empty one for me when I get there

Sorry actually found the post it was only 25.00.....The WC could get it for 50.00

the bride said iit was a hit and the guests loved it..

That's a good idea- to maybe not do it at the wedding but at the welcome party or prior to rehearsal dinner or something. I will ask my WC- thx!

I totally want one! half our guests are all hispanic so we all love this stuff because it takes us back to our childhood haha. I also think it would be something fun and different to do. I totally want the traditional mexican donkey pinata, it would be hilarious! I'm also wondering where we could get it over there. I searched around and Playa apparently has one party supply store so I'm guessing they need to have pinatas!

I think it's a fun idea, not hokey at all! It'll keep the party going. I'm planning on buying mine there - either asking an employee to grab me one (and tipping them nicely) or trying the local walmart in cancun.
