@@pddcmc thanks for your detailed list it reminded me of a couple things I need to get on! 2 questions:

 

1) you are putting your reception menu on the welcome letter, are you doing this in addition to menus at dinner? I'm pretty sure im not getting menus printed for dinner....also what dinner did you decide on? I think we are doing the BBQ buffet but I am still undecided!

 

2) what's your chalkboard going to say?

We are having the Mexican buffet, so I just want people to know their options.

 

Chalkboard - probably something as simple as "D___/C___ Wedding" ...I've also thought about putting I love him & he loves me, we'll be married by the sea. or we may do something in English and Spanish, as some of our guests mostly speak Spanish. I don't know... any suggestions??

OOT Cup Stuffers

I bought out Target's supply of mini first aid kits and aloe. In fact, the check out person and stocking person looked at me like I had a third eyeball when I asked if they had more in the back because what they had wasn't enough. 

I bought the mints and plastic baggies at a dollar store all for $4, which is a steal!

I need to find more Airborne (I also bought all that was in stock at the time at Target).

I think I'm going to keep the mini sunblock for just the FI and I, but I don't think I'm going to purchase them for each guest. Otherwise, I will end up needing to purchase a bag for each person, and I'm trying to avoid purchasing bags too... I like being a little different and "stuffing" our cups.

As for the Tums, I'm going to buy a big box of individually wrapped Tums and place a few doses in each cup.

I agree on the sunscreen, most people don't travel to places like Mexico without any.  Well one of my guests did - sigh- but she's a special story (eye roll) LMAO!

 

You can also get 3 packs of tums at Walmart. It was about $2 for 3 rolls. If that idea interests you at all.

I need to work on the order of the songs...and share this with the FI (he's on business...again so this is what I did in his absence.)
So, obviously, I really like the "classic" songs to dance to.... does anyone have any suggestions on "new" songs to add?
Also, are you guys adding "slow songs" to your reception-dancing playlist?

My "Getting Ready" playlist was much easier to put together! 

 

&...I still need to select music for the ceremony and the dinner portion of the reception.... yikes

Thanks for sharing that. I may have to steal some. I am having trouble in this area cause I can never think of any songs when I want to. This was Nathan's job but he hasn't started yet so I am writing songs down on the side and then when it comes time for him to do it then I will just hand him what I have and ask him to add it....hahahaha Gotta be sneaky.

Getting Ready Robes :from etsy

I bought a blue robe for my MOH and a white one for myself... 
They are soft, I'll give you that. BUT, they are super, super thin....even the least modest girl would wear something under this particular robe.

 

I disagree with the sizing chart listed by the seller... my robe is rather big on me... I'll post pics sometime this week.

Silver lining, I guess I will still be able to wear it when I'm eventually pregnant? 

 

I received our robes about 2 weeks after I placed the order, which was much faster than listed (4-5 weeks).
