Grooms Gift?

Recommended Posts

I was going to do the boudoir photo shoot and book.  He was super bummed when he realized I was going to do it but won't do the same thing as his ex.  I still want to do it for him maybe for our first anniversary for the "paper" or another holiday, but he thinks I totally scrapped the idea forever (I was SUPER disappointed when I found that out).

I thought about a watch, but he doesn't wear watches lol.  He said he used to but doesn't really any more so I am just kind of stumped!

Love this idea!  I have also seen people save a seat and put that persons picture there or have a "memorial" table at the front.

I just realized I am almost half way to 150, YAY!

I would do the boudoir photo shoot,  even if his ex wife did it.  Each shoot is so unique to the girl, i dont think that matters that someone else did it.

Plus, I'd hope he threw that away as they are no longer married.  Yours will be better no matter what, since YOU are the one he LOVES!

We did gifts!! I got my husband a watch and attached a tag that said, "See you at 4 pm! Love, Your Wife" and I got him a wallet. He's really picky so I spent a pretty penny on his stuff. He got me 2 necklaces. I love anchors. One necklace was a diamond anchor and on the outside of the jewelry box it said "For today" then I got a diamond heart and on the box it said "For forever." Was really cool!!

I don't know if we're doing this! We haven't discussed it. Hmmm guess we have to talk about it. I would probably go for a watch. He has a couple that I've gotten him for birthdays/anniversaries. But then again I feel like the wedding gift should be something different. The boudoir shoot sounds fun but that depends if I lose all the weight I want to. Lol. And even then Idk who I'd get to take the pics!

I need to think about this as well! I have gotten FI a watch before, but he doesn't really wear it much. And I did a boudoir shoot a few years back...it was actually pretty funny, I gave him the book for his birthday, he looked through it, looked at me and asked if it was me. Lol I told him yes of course it was me! We are both pretty practical and he just didn't get the whole thing really!! Lol love him! Will have to think of some other ideas!!

What was the gift you were going to get him?

I was thinking something like a watch because my FI is a big watch fan. But of course when he ordered the groomsmen's gifts, which are watches, he ordered one for himself. So I don't want to give him something that he is getting his groomsmen the same thing.

Another thing I thought of and I might do is a boudoir session book for just him from me. Soemthing on the cover saying "for Nathan's eye's only." I have seen that on this site. I think that's something he would really love. He always points out that I wear fuzzy pink pj's to bed hahaha so this would really through him off guard.

So funny. My FI loves watches too. He brought the GMs watches and himself one as well lol.

I am planning on taking a wooden box and getting him a label for his socks (cold feet), jamaican rum (for before the wedding) and a love note.

We had kind of decided not to do anything because of the cost of the wedding - decided that was our gift to eachother lol.

But I said I may still do a gag gift (I saw a pair of socks wrapped with a sign that said 'if you get cold feet') but I am unsure now.  I really do want to get him something.  He already has a watch as I got him that for Christmas and doesn't wear much else.  Maybe just something you know he likes, like shirts, or books, or? I know it sounds lame, but you want to get him something he will enjoy and use.

I don't think I am daring enough for a boudoir session, so that is out! lol! And here they are probably like $500

I collect Pandora and really want their new bangle (considered wearing it on the wedding day but don't feel it will match) and told him he could pick the wedding charm himself and that could be my gift - surprising me with what charm he chose, but he said no I could just get the bracelet because I wanted it lol

So unsure if he is doing anything. I guess I should address this again.

I have been wondering what I should get my FI. My plan is to do it without talking to him because unfortunately his father died a few years back, and I know he wants him there somehow. So my thought process was to make his gift incorporate his dad in some way, but I just cant seem to find anything I feel is right. Any ideas ?

My FI lost his mother in November and he misses her terribly and wishes more than anything that she could be there when we get married. I also want to incorporate her in his gift but I'm not sure how. I was thinking maybe get him cuff links for the wedding with his mothers initials or something along those lines.
