LauraM
Looking for advice from past brides or anyone who may have already booked vendors (hair, make-up, DJ, photography, decoration company, florist, etc.) - When did you book your vendors? My wedding is in May 1st in Cancun. Is it too soon to book?
kmk2016
It's always best to book sooner than later with vendors. It locks you into a contract at their current price (inflation dictates that vendor prices rarely go down) and insures availability. If you know it's a vendor you want to use/ book it! iWeddingMexico
Don`t wait. I already have 2 weddings that weekend so imagine the rest of the Riviera Maya! Always better to book sooner especially if you have your heart set on someone in particular to offer the service. If you ever need any help or advice feel free to let me know! LauraM
@@iWeddingMexico thank you! Are you familiar with any reputable wedding planners who work with Beach Palace or just in the Cancun area? The beach palace coordinators are an absolute nightmare.
tygrrlily
Yes, I think definitely book your vendors as soon as you know who you want to use. We have our photographer, make up artist, dj and videographer booked already for December. I think May is fairly busy for weddings too, so you want to have your first pick
LauraM
@@tygrrlily ooo I see you're also a BP bride! Do you mind me asking who you chose as a photographer and what they are charging?
Brinley
I would suggest sooner than later as well. That way your dates and rates are locked in. It is an important day - so don't leave anything to chance.
tygrrlily
@@LauraM - Yes, a BP bride too! We just went for our site visit last week I went with a lesser known photographer here! His name is Juan Carlos Lancelotti. I'm getting 8-10 hours of photography, 2 shooters, edited pics and a ttd session for around $2800 http://www.lancelottiphotography.com/

TAkathy
DEFINITELY book any vendor as soon as you determine who you want to use. They can only do so many weddings in a given time period and it is better to get them locked in with a known price to budget for. I would highly recommend have a wedding planner/coordinator for more than the day of the wedding. Even with local and domestic weddings it is key to have someone you work with all the way along in the planning stage. Then they have a good understanding of your vision and nothing is left to chance. The day of the wedding can be very hectic and requires someone who is very familiar with every aspect of the event to deal with the emergencies and questions that inevitably arise.
