Sport Bottles Vs Tumblers

Recommended Posts

Hi All

I am wondering if anyone put sport bottles in the oot instead of tumblers? I like the idea of putting some kind of drinkware in the bags and when I was on discountmugs.com I saw really nice sport bottles and thought, "hmmm, maybe".  So any thoughts? HELP!!

Thanks

I think the reason the tumblers are so popular is because in many AI resorts the cups they give you for the drinks are tiny and don't keep your drinks cold- so people like having a larger insulated mug/tumbler that they can use for around the pool. I like the idea of water bottles but would likely not be used until home since I don't think people would want to fill water from taps in many DW regions. JMO

We ended up choosing mason jar mugs with lids and a straw. They turned out fantastic and we can't wait to hand htm out at our wedding! Now our biggest issue will be getting them to Mexico, they take up a lot of room!

@@kmk2016 I was thinking about them using the bottles for drinks on the resort instead of the small resort cups. I love my bubba when I go to resorts, but I cannot afford bubba's for everyone (only my bridal party is getting bubba's) so I was looking for another option for the rest of the guests.

Gotcha! Me neither! I just think sport bottles/water bottles may be harder to rinse out all those delicious blended drinks vs an insulated cup or even a stadium cup as some have suggested. I haven't figured out what I'm going to do either... But will probably do stadium cups... Since they are much cheaper and can still be used easily by guests during the week.

That's so true, about rinsing them out. I think I'm going to go for the insulated cups, that way they have lids and less likely to spill. I saw a post where the ladies were talking about clear cups with waterproof stickers on them so that the guests can use the cups when they get home. Might look into that.

You could always include a tiny packet of dishwashing soap in the welcome bag! Not sure how that would work with the water, but I'm assuming if it's filtered and the resort uses it to wash, it'll be ok
