Save The Dates? Invitations?

Im sending my invites out at start of July for my Feb 2016 wedding.. and forgo-ing the STDs. Figured I would save trees and only send out this one mailer, with all the information and direct the guests to our wedding website. The RSVP date is the same as our 90 day block deadline so hopefully it prompts people to put their deposits down early!

I just got my vistaprint postcards...$5 for 50 (plus shipping which was like 20 for express)...I then went to michaels and bought magnetic paper 12x24 inches and cut into strips and saved myself half of what the magnet std would cost. Sure it was only 25$ but I am trying to wrap my head around the every $ counts mentality bc it will all add up!

Are you happy with the post cards? Is the postcard paper sturdy?

 

I'm thinking of going this route but I'm the type of person that needs to touch and feel whatever I'm going to buy first however the prices with vista print can't be beat IMHO

Our TA sent out an email in September 2013 for out October 2014 wedding, we then sent out a STD in late December/early January. And I just got our invitations. I will be sending them out hopefully in the next week. I really like the formality of the invitations so I still wanted to do them although I'm sure they weren't necessary! I am actually quite surprised how many people keep contacting me to ask when, where, etc...

The invitations are kinda nice for a reminder and to actually put the official wedding date and not just the travel dates. We put the travel agents info on again and the date final payment was due. At least if people change their mind they have the info again.

I mailed out my save the dates last week and our wedding is 10.24.15. I'm going to be mailing out our invitations in the spring I think. Maybe like march? That way people will have the travel agent info and they can start booking ASAP.

I feel so behind! Wedding is Aug 2015 and I'm hoping to send STD's out by Aug 2014. I'm hoping to get people to book 8-10 months in advance, the rates are just way too high right now.

We did evite Save the Dates in February of this year, 13 months before our wedding date.  We're sending out physical invitations this summer (probably july at this point...) and then will send reminders and/thank yous in November depending if they've booked/responded!

We are planning to do save dates/ wedding details/travel agent information once our decision is made and deposit down (i hope after our trip before end of year)

 

We wil do a reminder once airfare rates come out (prob June 2015)

We never sent out save the dates- but we did give people an estimated time frame of when we were planning to get married and what location. We got in touch with people 12-13 months in advance to ensure that they would be able to set aside the time etc. We sent out the invitations with the resort info and activiites 8 months in advance- that way everyone could do their research and know how much they would need to go.
