Best Ways To Prevent Sunburn?

@@TinkerSofi - I was working on posting the same question! I really don't want to go the tanning bed route, either...I don't like the color that it gives. I guess I'll figure something out closer to our wedding...

yeah, i'm thinking of going enough so that I get a little bit of color but not necessarily tanned. I find it really helps when you have a base. I also got one of those SPF shirts to wear while i'm in the ocean. The hardest part is always avoiding burning the face!

In summer it’s become very difficult especially for girls to go out because the scorching heat burns the skin, if you are planning any trip in summer, don't expose your skin directly to sun, cover it by wearing full sleeves cloths and apply sun protection creams and oil. Drink lots of water and fresh juices.

Cover up your heads by cloth or hat.

As much as everyone always says tanning beds are bad, I think I might have to go that route. I burn very easily no matter what I do. I would just like to go a couple times for a base tan before the wedding. My FI cousin owns a tanning studio and ahe has always told.me to get base tans to prevent my horrible burns. I have never listened, but I think I might before the wedding.

I would just go overboard with your sunscreen application, also maybe pick up the SPF 110.  It is much more expensive, but has much more coverage.

When I went to Mexico the first time I burnt to a crisp and looked like a lobster, but in Cuba I didn't.  Not sure if the sun was less relentless or I mastered my sunscreen regime.

I am going to try hard to avoid it, but I am also not going to camp out in my room!  It's par for the course I would assume.   We won't be the first DW brides with either tan lines or a burn, I can promise you that :)

as much as i hate tanning salons and beds - pretan is your safest bet - and limit your exposure - you will already be tanned when you get there so there is no need to lay i the sun for 5 hours lol  - 45 mins get some shade for 30 - rinse and repeat as needed and reapply every 2 cycles
