Invitation Wording

Hello, I am really struggling with how to word on the invitation something like "we love the children in our family but we've decided it would be best to have the event at an adults only resort, so sorry..." Any advice?

That's tough. We just told everyone verbally that it was adult only.

We are having ours at an adults only also. We did not mention it in our invitations. We made sure to address our invitation to "Mrs and Mr" not "The Smith Family" and then we put that the resort was Adults Only on the wedding website.

Are you having your travel agents information on the invite? They could help let guests know that it's adults only.

I am also at a location where children under 18 aren't allowed..

 

In the accommodations section where I put resort info, I just added a note at the bottom saying Unfortunately children under the age of 18 are not permitted.

 

If they want their children to come, you could maybe say they can stay somewhere where they have child care, and get a day pass for your wedding?
