I need help. We are having a destination wedding and have to send invitations to people(immediate family) that we know can't attend. We would like to put a hand written note inside those particular invitations saying something like ... although we understand that you won't be able to join us, we ask that you think of us on blah, blah day. Can anyone offer other suggestions on wording or if you think this idea is cheesy.

I appreciate all suggestions....

You can add something like this to all the invitations. That way the message gets across to those who can't attend.

Sorry wrong attachment

We didn't end up inviting even a 1/8th of the people that would have attended if we were at home.. We want to send out a "save the date" with a picture of us in it. "celebrate with us from afar" or something along those lines maybe>?
