So....has anyone noticed your planner ading things to your budget planner without you requesting it?... My planner keeps adding things like TTD and private dinners.... WTF? I didn't even ask about these services.... 


I'm about to have the fiance write them an email in his first language (Spanish) and tell them to stop jerking me around... I am NOT happy.... OR, I might even have his family make a few phone calls to the resort.... UGH

ugh that is annoying!

 

At our resort the WC would suggest things and add them in another color - so yellow was things I had confirmed, blue was her suggestions (isle runner, tikki torches, etc.) When I axed them, she would remove them or vice versa.

But add them hoping you may not notice??? not cool.

@@calgarybride2015 - I'm really not sure. I hope it's a mistake because up until now, I have been very happy with the communication, help, and suggestions I have received...

@@pddcmc Do you know who you spoke with? I was wondering about the same thing and David Carrillo informed me something different. This was his exact e-mail :

 

Full day pass rate is 85 USD per person (from 10 AM to 11 PM). Day passes are based on availability.

I recommend you to verify availability with your wedding coordinator. She will contact you 3 months before the wedding.

We do not allow outside vendors, except from photographer/videographer.

The fee for this is 150 USD per photographer. This fee could be waived if the photographer stays for at least 3 nights at the resort.

 

I wanted to bring in my makeup artist. Are we not allowed to bring them? I've seen other makeup artists at the resort from past weddings! I know vendors fees are to be expected but come on. Hotels that charge these are definitely taking advantage of brides because they know that some of these brides are willing to pay regardless.

 

I'm thinking of just booking a room for a night at another hotel near Dreams Riviera Cancun. Just so they can do my makeup if they won't waive the vendor fee. Does anyone know any hotels near Dreams?

@@TeamArceo - I received the exact same email from David. I believe you can have your own make-up artist, but you will be charged the outside vendor fee.

...I was thinking about looking into some salons and spas offsite then coming back to finish getting ready. 

I was just going to have 2 extra plates added to our dinner for the photogs (similarly to what people do for local weddings). It just doesn't make sense to pay for day passes for them... I expect the photogs to be taking photos most of the time they are there with us..not going to the different restaurants and using the resort's services, you know?

so I just started working with my coordinator and it's stressing me out. the budget planner David sent me in the summer of 2014 i guess is outdated so I've been doing my budget off of lower numbers than the actual numbers. frustrating!! and everything is so so so expensive, all my requests. the costs are building and building. feeling super discouraged but hoping it will work out.

Oooohhh no! Please don't be discourage. So close to the finish line.... did you tell her that you have been basing things off of what you received from David?? If pricing increased from that they should of contacted you. When I received my budget planner from David it was with my contract and I had to sign it and return it with the contract.

 

Can you send me the updated version you received so I can price compare. I have 10 months to go. ..so you know pricing will probably go up again. Smh
