Invitations

We emailed our guests with an estimated quote for the flight, transportation, and room before we booked our location. Should we still send out save the dates followed by a formal invitation? Thanks!

If you give them the dates in your email, I would only send out an invitation and call it a day

I was only going to do save the dates but my wedding planner told me I needed to send out invites also....so I think I am going to just do the invites and include a small flyer with the resort and travel agent info on it.

I debated this too. We decided to just send out invitations early and skip the save the dates. We're going to send out some type of more detailed invite w/ event itinerary to the ppl that actually book

I used paperless post after reading about it on this site to send the dates and will send out invitations as well once I am able to finally decide what I want!

I didn't send paper invites. I send a postcard STD and an email invite with attachment for booking rooms. Several reminder emails were sent to get people to book their rooms.

 

I felt a little cheap for not sending paper invites, but they were really pointless and I decided to save the $$ and get something else I really wanted.
