Hello @ Pablou, my wedding is a year away and I just started my weight loss journey. Im the same way. I diet for a month or two and then falls off, but this time, I feel very motivated. I stated the 100 diet where you count your sugar calories, and you really don't eat carbs . It's been working good for me. It's been a week and a half and I have lost 14lbs so far.

I plan on going hard for a month and then slowing introduction carbs back in my diet, then in a month or two, go hard again. I'm trying to mix it up so I won't get bored.

So with that said we can work together if you like. I'm here if you won't some motivation. 2015 will be here sooner then we know it

Ladies - join the age old struggle! lol That sounds so much like me! My husband and I have been doing a diet for about 6 weeks now. Eating healthy. No junk. Nothing in the way of exercise really only because we both have been doing about 60 hours a week at work and to be honest, I'm just too tired when I get home at night to even think about exercise. I already get up at 5:30 am so don't mention getting up earlier to exercise. That's not in the cards. We're both running on about 5 or 6 hours sleep right now so I'm appreciating the little I'm getting. But guess what! He has lost weight!!! About 7 or 8 lbs! And what have I lost???? About a pound, maybe two. I mean really. Can we talk about frustration?????

I'm seriously considering weight watchers or dr. bernstein or something like that but I have one more hospital round to get through and then I'm going to get serious about it! I was just hoping that I could do it a sensible way first and get a bit of a head start..... but it's just not working. We have a friend's daughter's wedding coming up in August and I have my dress but was really hoping to lose some weight so that I could go and get it altered and have it look amazing!! Don't think that's going to happen now......

So I'm up for any tips that anyone is willing to pass along.... just until I go into the hospital in September, then by January if all is well I'll be able to go full tilt and try to get off the weight that really needs to come off. Plus I'm hoping time in the hospital will help get some of it off too!!!

Oh my that's sounds like me too. I tend to try losing weight and eating healthy and then it's all downhill in about a couple of weeks. it's like I can't last long at all eating healthy. it feels good for a short time and then I miss the "bad" food. I need help in this area too. I am looking to lose 20 pounds which doesn't seem like a lot but my god losing one pound to me is a struggle.

yep - I'm up for that! I would love to get about 35 off. The ultimate dream..... lol  And 40 well..... that would be like winning the lottery and I'm not holding my breath for that!! lol

The frustrating part is I was slim my entire life! Until I hit 40.....  And then I hit 50.....  And ladies, it really is all downhill from there! My doctor warned me that your metabolism changes at 40. Boy - she wasn't kidding!!!!  But it's not that I love food. The real problem is that food loves me!!!

Now .... if I could only invent a majic pill.. I'd be rich but I really wish someone would!!

I just eat clean and found that really helped the six weeks before we left to Mexico. I ended up taking 12 pounds off of the 40 I gained last year from going on my self proclaimed "fat parade". I watched my carbs but just ate clean and most definitely that helped. Too bad we went to Mexico which made me go off the rails from my diet and now I am just maintaining lol.

You can do it though ladies! Perhaps we can all check in with each other and keep each other accountable?

Hi Ladies! You should look into the Tone It Up Nutrition Plan. It's $150 for a lifetime membership. They send you daily workouts, recipes and about 5-7 full nutrition plans. They have plans for Bikini Season, A BRIDAL EDITION (Loving it so far), Holiday Seasons and others like their traditional nutrition plan that you can use forever. The Bridal Edition literally tells you what to eat, gives recipes, workouts and shows what you need to be doing 3 months before the wedding, 2 months before the wedding.. all the way up to the day of your wedding. Even the honeymoon but I'm not making any promises to myself to keep the workouts up at full speed through my honeymoon, although running on the beach does sound appealing :)

The plan comes with access to their 'Online Community' too so you can get motivated and motivate others doing the same thing your doing.

I'm not exactly trying to loose weight as much as wanting to tone up specific areas of my body but I see a ton of people on the website losing a ton of unwanted weight.

While I am really interested in healthy eating, I'm not going to say no to a slice of pizza here and there. I also realized while I don't eat that many calories each day, I consume WAY too much sodium and sugars in the foods I do choose to eat. This plan helps me substitute things and with step by step recipes, I can't make excuses.

Good luck ladies! Just stay positive and motivated!!

Let the bridal workouts begin :)

This is a great thread! I've set a goal for myself as well, I've still got 15 months to go but I'm planning to start kicking things into gear May 1st.

I use the app Runkeeper to track my runs and set a goal for myself (I've set the goal of running 1km/day until the date of my wedding - I am trying to stick to a schedule of running 3-4 km 2-3 days per week). I also am going to increase my strength training to build muscle mass, which will help my body burn more calories at rest. I want to sign up for some 10k and half marathon runs to keep myself motivated for running over the next 15 months.

My main problem is that I work all day and don't eat ANYTHING so when I come home in the evenings I binge eat! I'm trying to set breaks throughout the day to eat little snacks (an apple, handful of almonds, granola bar) and then eat an early dinner and not eat anything after 7pm. I'm not changing my meals because I eat pretty healthy/balanced, but I want to decrease eating out!

Lots of people use MyFitnessPal app and I've tried it but I have a hard time sticking with it long term. Some of you ladies might find it helpful though!

I would love to hear any tips/strategies that you guys are using as well.

I'm in the same boat!!! I would like to lose about 30 pounds before my wedding in May 2015! I have the app Pump up and I really like it. Its almost like instagram for health and fitness and it gives you specific workouts based off of what you have to use. I love it!! I've also been trying to cut back on sweets and I don't eat out during lunch at all anymore. I try to have a filling breakfast and light lunch and dinner and snack through out the day. I've really been sticking to it for the last 2 weeks and doing ALOT of weight training and my fiance says he can see a little difference in how my clothes fit! I can too and I've lost 7 pounds!! I know the weight loss will slow down after the first couple of weeks but if I can lose a pound or two a week then I will easily hit my goal. The hardest part is not giving up because it is going to take a while before you really see results!
