@@Taniaandedward - Congrats on the engagement! One thing to consider is many resorts have an "up to" number of guests in their packages (we forgot about this), so you end up tacking a lot of costs on the end for larger parties.

i started looking at hotels/destinations on bookit.com to get a general idea of prices for guest and then looked more into my top hotels through forums on here and contacting the wedding coordinators at the hotel for the wedding prices.

 

One thing that was important for us was to make sure it was easy for our guest to travel to so we picked a place not far from the airport.
