Some Planning Guidance Needed

Hi Brides!

I am in the process of interviewing wedding planners for a July 2015 wedding. I have contact 3:

1. Candela at Be That Bride, between $3000 and $6000

2. Suzanne Morel at Linens, Things, and More, $1250

3. Asher at Kara Casillas $2500

 

So far the costs have been very discrepant. Has anyone worked with these planners from start to finish? Any idea why Suzanne is cheaper? I am thinking it may be because they have a number of departments within their company so they will make just as much when you purchase the flowers, decor, etc from them. Thoughts?

 

Also, at this point, I am looking at Pueblo Bonito Sunset Beach or a villa wedding. Each planner has differnet ideas of which is most cost effective. Can any of you help with me with this?

Congratulations and welcome to the site! I'm sure there will be someone here that can help you out with information. You could also check the vendor reviews and see if there are any comments about any of the planners. I never used one and did everything myself. From what I've seen I think the majority of brides do, but you never know.

Here are some that I interviewed that were TONS cheaper, and had great reviews. I am still in the process of figuring out mine too, but I have it down to a couple favorites!! Hope this helps! PS. I am in Cabo and have about 40-45 people. Most quote you by size.

When are you wanting to get married and where? Have you gotten that far yet? I would start with Illeana. She was great when I spoke to her, and I have heard amazing things about her. Dont get too overwhelmed with this part! I promise, you have to go with your gut and just choose one you connect with, otherwise you will keep looking and looking!

Just started, my wedding date is July 1,2016- 2 years away! I know I am ahead of the game and some places won't even quote me this far ahead, but I just want to see what I like.

I'm getting married April 2015 and hired Lauren Lemke from Amy Abbott.  They cost is $5,000.00.

I planned everything myself but I just hired a "month of" coordinator.  My wedding is in December but she has already started working on my wedding.  So far, she has been really great.  

 

Her name is Gabriela Cobian from Vivid Occasions.

I am getting married at the Sandos Finisterra on February 14, 2015 and have done quite a bit of planing myself so I hired Suzanne Morel for the month of the wedding planning, but she is already contacting my wedding coordinator from the hotel, my vendors and my travel agent so I am pretty happy with my choice.

Illeana Reyes coordinated my wedding in June and was worth every single penny.  She is a sheer delight and made our wedding run absolutely perfectly.  I can't recommend her enough.
