When Is The Best Time To Resurive?!

I am chomping at the bit to get the date settled for the wedding. Jan 8th, 2016 -- because it's so far in advance, I have to hurry up and wait. Which is my least favoriate thing to do in the whole world!!!

 

I noticed on the site where I want to have my wedding, the 2015/2016 rates are out. Should I just bite the bullet and put in for the date now, or wait until it's closer?

 

The wedding planner from the Apple Vacations (who works closely with the resort) said I should wait until Spring 2015, but to me that seem SO far out. And I have already commited to the location and date through a cute "save the date" post card for the invites.

 

SO! what has been your experience with this?!

Im in Canada, but my TA said that it's best to book as early as possible when blocking a group of rooms for a wedding. It allows your guests plenty of time to save $$ and make plans to attend, and you can lock in early booking discounts most resorts offer.

 

My TA also said that if the price drops between the time we sign the contract, and the date assigned for final payments, they will make a one time adjustment for everyone in the party- so it seemed smart. If it's a popular resort for weddings I wouldn't wait! Some wont allow multiple weddings in one day- so if you have your heart set on a specific date- book it as soon as the hotel will allow!!!

I'd book as early as you can.  It took a long time to confirm our wedding date with the resort.  Plus, the more notice you can give your guests, the better!
