Can Someone Explain How The 75+ Rooms At Palace Hotels Works Out?

Recommended Posts

Hello!

I've been researching so much about all of the different wedding packages at different hotels that I think the information is getting muddled in my head!

My fiance and I are focused right now on the Beach Palace or Moon Palace hotels. We feel like we'll be able to hit the 75+ room nights, which means unlimited private events. Now we thought this meant that we wouldn't have to pay for the food/drink at the wedding reception, etc. and this really attracted us as at other hotels like Dreams, the cost is quite high if you have over the 20 or so included people in the wedding package.

Is there a cap to how many people can be included in the private events at the Palace resorts before having to pay extra? I must have missed this. My TA is saying that the cap is 30, and that we will have to pay extra for any on top of this. Can someone please confirm to me if this is true, and how much that extra cost would be? I'm going through all my brochure and literature now to find this and I'm having trouble

Thanks!

Hopefully either Tammy or TA Wendy will chime in with the answer for this as Wright Travel are specialists with Palace resorts and would be able to clarify this for you.

Happy planning!

I just re-read all of my contracts/info from both Palace and my TA & found no mention of an attendance cap on the “unlimited events". If I were you, I would fight the resort against paying extra for your guests, given that nowhere in the contract does it say that the limit is 30 people. (I’m basing this info off a contract I ALMOST, but did not, sign with Beach Palace).

The only info I can gather about the 75 room night benefits is:

- Unlimited private functions (one hour cocktail + two hour dinner. MAX three hours per day)

Set-up fee not included - set up on the beach and areas without elevator access are surcharged $7.00 USD per person for cocktail and $13.00 USD per person for dinner. Private Group functions are available without surcharge in meeting rooms and outdoor venues, except for beach and rooftop terraces with no elevator access, when using inclusive Hotel menus. . Function areas are assigned upon availability with the onsite wedding planner and confirmed upon arrival.

- 7 complimentary nights for bride & groom in lowest room category. Complimentary nights have a $10.00 per person, per night, charge

- Hotel agrees to provide the bride and groom with a room upgrade. Maximum room upgrade is based on Concierge Level when category prior is booked, based on availability. If bride and groom book Concierge Level or higher, the upgrade can be extended to another group member of choice.

Thanks for copying parts of the contract - very helpful. I've been doing so much reading and I was positive that I hadn't seen that we'd have to pay for the extra which is a huge selling point, but my TA was the one that said there's a cap :s. I asked her to double check.

We haven't actually booked yet - we're narrowing down our choices and this was a big selling point for the Palaces! Just wanted to verify :)
