Need Input For Guests For Wedding Weekend In Playa/puerto Morelos

Recommended Posts

I'm getting married in a couple of weeks (yikes!!!) at a private beach club in Playa del Carmen (Blue Venado), but my guests and I are staying about 45 minutes away at the Now Jade in Puerto Morelos.  It is highly likely that people will stick to the all-inclusive resort, but just in case, can anyone give me suggestions on the following:

1) Great restaurants

2) Excursions

3) Other things to do?

Hi! There are tons of things to do in the Riviera Maya. The 5ta avenida its a great area to walk around, with great restaurants, bars, shopping, etc. A little further you have the Tulum ruins which are amazing and the ocean over there has the most spectacular turquoise color. The cenotes are always fun and different. Ask at the hotel for some close ones to the hotel. And then you have the all day parks as Xcaret or Xplore for the most aventurous. And isla mujeres its a day trip too. Lots to do. When we go we always rent a jeep and drive, very fun but be carefull not to speed or you will get the most expensive ticket of ur life. Relax, They wont have enough time for all the fun over there. They wont be bored! :) congrats!

Check our www.herecomesthesun11.com (our wedding website) and I have a drop down menu thing for things to do.

If you venture to Akumal, you NEED to check out Lucy's kitchen/turtle bay bakery for the BEST ice cream you've ever had. La Buena Vida in Akumal is pretty amazing as well, excellent food and a view of half moon bay. Akumal would be a day trip for you guys to do but it is sooo worth it. (check out the things to do for my write up on it, I won't repost it here)

What else.. Playa del Carmen, 5th ave is awesome, tons of good resteraunts. We go to senor frogs just because it's right on the beach and the food is good, however we have ate a few other places on the ave there and they are pretty good.

Tulum beach is awesome, the ruins.. I love Mexico :)

Of course! Copy and paste, do whatever you want :) I wanted to provide my guests with a list of things to do, rather than to be asked all the time (not that I don't mind... Just easier to list stuff on the website!) :)
