We are getting married May 30th at Now Jade. We wanted May 2 but it was booked. I actually pouted for a day or two. Oh well...such is life.

 

Where are you with your planning?

*waves* May 27, 2015 wedding for us! We also wanted early May but my MOH/sister has her licensing exam for becoming a practicing physician sometime during the beginning of May, so we’ve had to avoid doing anything during that timeframe.

 

We’re going to be doing a Hindu wedding ceremony in Jamaica, which is a whole another layer of complicated. We’ve booked the resort (Royalton White Sands) but we still need to speak with the priest directly (there’s only ONE Hindu priest who does weddings in all of Jamaica). We’re also doing a small Catholic church wedding at home before the DW, so my planning is split between two places! But I’m still having so much fun with it.

I'm happy to see another May 2015 bride. You will be a busy bee with all your planning. I'm familiar with Hindu wedding ceremonies.

 

We are still up in the air in regards to an AHR. We're leaning towards using that $$$ towards buying a house. We'll see...

Hey! I am getting married May 22 at the Now Jade. We are there for 12 days. When are you arriving!? I am really early in the planning. Trying dresses on for the first time May 3 and 10th

Another Now Jade bride! Yay!  We are arriving May 28th.  What locations are you using?  We are getting married at the Pergola...Mix Bar for cocktail hour...Carnival Terrace for our reception.

 

I haven't even thought about a dress yet.  We are working on save the dates and securing all our deposits. After all that is done then I can focus on a dress...lol

I am starting to look at all the little details. We went with Eternity package because I want to be able to do a few things on my own and I didnt need eveything that was in the Divine package. what about you?

We went with the Eternity package as well.  Couldn't justify the cost for the larger package.  We are however upgrading our reception dinner option the one of the Devine options.  I have a quote from Isela for $5 per person...not bad at all.

 

What type of invitations are you doing?  

 

We are preparing to send out Save the Dates within the next two weeks.

We are doing boarding pass invites and then passport book styles closer to the wedding with a detailed itinerary, info etc. My gf owns a scrapbook store so her gift to me is helping with these invites!!! such a relief!

 

I was thinking about upgrading my menu also! $5 a person isnt bad at all! Did you get the planning document already or did you just email her? My travel coordinator already has been sending communications to my guests so I am not sending an official Save The Date... Seems pointless for me now since they are already putting deposits on their vacation haha.

I believe she sent the planning document to me already.  If my memory serves me correctly, she highlighted not to turn it in until 4 weeks before the wedding.  Do you need it?

 

I see what you mean about STDs.  If you already have guest communicating with you TA there really is no need.  As for invitations, we are doing passports.  There was a bride on here a few years back who has since started a business doing passport invitations.  We will be using her. You are lucky to have a friend that can assist you with your invitations.  That's pretty awesome!
