So I'm at a total loss for songs to play during the ceremony. What did you all walk down the aisle to? What about your bridesmaids? And what'd you play when the ceremony finished? I'm completely clueless. Any help would be really appreciated! Thanks in advance!

I got married in Jamaica, so I had steel drum music, but we went with the traditional up the aisle and down the aisle. I found a website that does the pre-recorded steel band and it had several different popular songs that we played while signing the licence, etc. Our first dance was I Promise You sung by Ronan Keating. I still love that song... lol

There is a forum here on first dance songs if you want to do a search and read what other brides are dancing to.

Good luck and happy planning!

The bridesmaids walked down to a traditional classical processional song.  I walked down with my parents to Somewhere Over the Rainbow by Isreal K.  We all walked back up the aisle to "Hey Soul Sister" by Train, as I wanted something a bit more up tempo.  Every time I here that song now I get the biggest smile on my face! :)

Pick songs that have meaning to you and that you love.  I watched a lot of destination wedding videos online and this helped me a bit.

My bridal party is walking down to a traditional processional, "Canon in D".  I will be walking down the aisle to "Bless the Broken Road" by Rascall Flatts.

Good choices @MrsSheppardToBe

I'm glad to hear some of you are doing traditional songs because I always wanted Canon in D, the Trumpet song - can't remember it's name) and Ode to Joy for when we are walking back down the aisle after the ceremony. I was just worried I should really be doing more beachy songs. Thanks so much!
