Any Other Calgary 2014 Brides?

Recommended Posts

Thanks ladies!  This is our first real tiff since we started.  I would stress out, but he's so laid back it helped.

But now we are getting into the nitty gritty, the stress is just a bit too much to bare so days, and we have 4 months left!

We did talk some today - calmly - and he asked for a 'to do list'.   It's tough to take time apart when we live together, I was almost thinking time together with NO WEDDING talk was what we needed.  Like not just a dinner out, but an activity or a weekend somewhere, etc.  Not that we can afford that, ha!

Thanks again... I know we all have our moments, and everyone here understands.

I feel you on the moments. I had a whole sh*tload of stress as a few of you know (bridesmaid drama, family drama.. oh and then one brother in law tried punching the other one at our family shower.. cue circus music) I felt like such a b*tch for about one month and I was stressed, Rich was stressed and we argued almost every second day. It got to be too much with the drama and wedding stuff. But we have all been there like you said. and it will calm down.

Rich and I live together too but I took off on a girls trip with my mom in Montana for a few days, so we had really limited contact. I think even closer to the wedding, I am going to go visit some girlfriends in Edmonton for a few days just to give him and I a breather, cause you know how stressful it is leading up. You could even get away just for a night.. it really helps. We are now less than two months and things are so chill right now (hoping I am not jinxing it) so hopefully it gets that way for you.

Glad things are feeling chill right now!  Maybe it's because all the hard stuff is settled and it's time to tie up loose ends?

I find I am finally at the point of being done shopping, making all the final decisions, etc. and I am starting to second guess myself on stuff! Cheap Kim made early decisions, and now not so cheap Kim has come out! haha!

Glad you have those breathers, that's a great idea and one I am sure I can figure out.  I think we both need it.

Good luck!!

So my postcard reminders came today and I just dropped them in the mail to our guests who haven't RSVP'd. For those that couldn't see it before/ this is what they looked like... I just addressed the right side which was blank, put on a stamp and into the mail box they went! ImageUploadedByTapatalk1410490557.792180.jpg

I'm happy with how they turned out and they only cost $10 for 30 of them on vistaprint (turned out I only needed 20). Hopefully they light a fire under our guests butts... And if they still don't reply I will assume they aren't joining us.

So those are pretty awesome!!!  This will definitely help light a fire!

I love Vistaprint and can't wait until early October when I can finally print all my items at once (have my groupon) just awaiting some nice engagement photos to put on the brochure LOL!!

So who ended up at the Bridal Expo? What did you think?

My coworker went and found a dress but she said otherwise it wasn't overly great. She didn't think us DW brides would have found much. She thought it was more vendors (for rentals, planners, etc) and such.  Just her thoughts!

that's what I found last year when I went too. It was mostly for couples planning their wedding here but not much help for DW brides. We ended up not going this time because it didn't work into our schedule and my fiance said that he was afraid I would change my mind about things, again, if we went haha.

I went in knowing that nothing was really going to apply to me however wanted to enter the draws and actually feel somewhat like a bride, considering all the sh*t that has gone on with our wedding :) It was fun enough to go and spend time with my girlfriend but if anyone was looking for information, not much of it would apply unless you were having an AHR.

They had good food though.. my girlfriend is a foodie like myself and somehow got one of the vendors to give us 6 macaroons each LOL. Man oh man.
