How Long Will You Honeymoon?

I know many of us are going to our destination venue a day/days early prior to the wedding. How long are you anticipating staying at your destination/honeymoon location after your wedding?

 

My FI and I are going 3 nights early and getting married on day 4, but we are taking his kids (9 and 13) and having a "family vacation" prior to the wedding. The day after the wedding, we will send the boys home and start our honeymoon. What I'm struggling with is he keeps mentioning that we will only be there for a few more days. Part of me keeps thinking, "I only get 2 full days with you after we are married then we have to go home?" (the other days would be travel days. I kinda feel like I'm being selfish but the other part I think I'm paying for all of this wedding and I 3 nights alone? Even our first night as a married couple we will have his boys because their flight doesn't leave until the next day - not very romantic but the way it has to be in order to include them in the wedding.

 

I'm all for the kids being apart of the wedding but it feels like I'm giving up tons. Any thoughts? Any ideas how to approach this without coming across tacky/selfish?

I am doing the same thing. It's a little crappy not to get the extra days alone but we have decided to take a 1 year honeymoon without the children.

My 1 and 2 year( they will be 3 and 2 by the wedding) old is coming as well.Grandmom will have them the day of the wedding as well as the other days until they leave
