We are trying to plan our destination wedding in Aurba.  We thought destination wedding planning would be easy since my sister had a wedding with over 100 people just 2 years ago.  So much has change!  I'm so disappoint in the "planners" I have been in contact with.  It seems like so many are a scam.  Every planner seems to want a commitment with out explaining how much things cost.  How does anyone know the amount of guest that will attend until until you get a response?  How do I ask my parents to commit to paying per guest when you can't a planner to give you an idea of cost before booking a resort.  I am expecting roughly between 100-150 people but do not intent to secure more than 20 rooms to start since I could be totally off.     How much should and what should I expect to the resort to be covering when booking an all-inclusive? I thought this would be fun... So stressed

Did you try going to regular travel agency? I actually went to Liberty Travel today and they were very helpful. They gave me pricing for the hotel and flight for a couple places. Of course the price didn't include the cost of the wedding but it helped me narrow my choices down to a couple of places. Now I'm just researching the locations. It's a start and it was free.

HTH...

I originally really wanted to do Aruba but it was just too pricy per person according to my TA def price around different travel agencies though.  when you contact the resort they should only be concerned about the date and time.  They should book your date then go from there the resort I'm using doesn't need final numbers until a week or so before we arrive! My wedding is only 3 month away and I still don't have final numbers since some of my guests are slackers and haven't booked yet.
