@@Soon2beMrsJ.....you are right!!! I actually heard from my travel agent that there is a lot more activity and inquiries from family and friends to book their trips...so I am breathing a bit easier.

You only have 60 days until your big day so I know you are really excited!!! Don't forget to share pics when you get back!!! :)

I know you were also looking at Iberostar, what made you change your mind?

I'm debating between the two and I really don't know what to do

Hi Ladies!

Less than two months away now!!!  So excited!

I am picking the menu for my semi-private reception at the Steakhouse.  If any past RWS brides have feedback on the menu selections I would appreciate it.

Really starting to feel nickel & dimed by this resort.  I mean, how do you justify charging per plate to eat at a restaurant that is INCLUDED in the all inclusive package.  I mean, I would understand if it was a private reception with custom menu.  And the flowers?  Need I say more.  Outrageous.  Just sayin'.

Hope planning is going well for everyone :)

@.. any word on your 22page review of Royalton? Just checking on what you had to say and your review would definitely help us all out.

THanks

Dianne

I just got back from our wedding and thought I would let you all know it was absolutely amazing!! We went with the photographer on site - true colours and could not have been happier they did an amazing job!!! We ended up doing the Jamaican experience on the beach and loved it!! If anyone is planning a beach reception - you don't need any extra lights (we got them and it wasn't worth it) also the wedding planners were absolutely amazing!!! The spa did an amazing job on everyone's hair and makeup!!!!

One more thing - make sure to tell your guests that check in is a joke!!!

They have one person at the front checking in the entire group as the rest stand around and chat!! And they screwed up everyone's room!! So be prepared ????

Other then the front desk staff - everyone else was amazing!!

Hi @bryNdee I haven't stayed at the Royalton yet, just visited for a few hours during a site visit so I don't have enough to say for a review. I will after the wedding in a few months!

Hi @ ellewis.. congrats! We are also getting married there in November..can't wait...but also wondering if you added a dance floor for your beach reception and if you enjoyed the food.. we were skeptical of the menu selections... thx

We did not add the dance floor or a tent but I don't really think it's necessary! We all danced and had a blast in the sand! I am actually a really picky eater and found the food to be amazing!! The jerk chicken is to die for and the curried goat was actually delicious (I didn't think it would be) I was very skeptical about the food but everyone enjoyed it!!

If anyone is doing the semi private dinner the best resturant is Zen....food was amazing!!
