Hi Everyone,

 

I'm new to this thread, but it's a great one, so thanks for starting it! I'll be getting married in Runaway Bay Jamaica in August 2015. I've gotten through most of the smaller details, but can't decide between an outdoor location for the private reception or an indoor one. Anyone have an opinion on what they're doing or have done?

It disappointed my fiance a bit, but it was nonnegotiable for me to have our reception indoors! Since we are getting married in June it is going to be extra hot and I sweat when it is like 70 degrees out. I do not want to be that uncomfortable and gross at my own reception so I need air conditioning. BUT our ceremony is outside and we are doing an outdoor beach bonfire party the night before, so we have outdoor events, just not the reception

Thanks beckys98! We're actually having a part the night before that's indoors, so switching the two might be an option. My fiance wanted both ceremony and reception outdoors but possibly I can see how he feels about only one. He'll also be wearing a suit so it's moreso for him than for me!

The Riu Montego Bay was awesome!! I couldn't have asked for a better wedding week My wedding was absolutely gorgeous (still can't believe it was mine!)

Can I just move to Jamaica lol

Congrats to all the recently married brides. I'm excited that I'll be leaving for Jamaica exactly 2 weeks from today!
 Hubby and I are renewing our vows in celebration of our 20th anniversary. I can't wait!
