Hi Ladies,

How are people addressing their envelopes for invitations - handwriting, printing or professional calligraphy?

I need to get mine out STAT - there are about 64 of them.  I don't want to pay for calligraphy and my handwriting gets pretty bad after a few.  Is printing on your envelopes tacky?  If anyone has printed, can you recommend a good, free program to use?  Any other tips?

Thanks!

I had mine printed. They are going to get ripped open and tossed in the trash, plus 90% of your guests probably won't notice. Have the person that is doing your invites print the envelopes.

I just did the clear labels in word. super easy. you can do pretty colours if you want, change the font and each page is about 20 labels each so you're done in no time! I did the same with our thank you cards too. It worked out great!

I did faux calligraphy which basically is to print the addresses on the envelopes with very light ink and then trace them in whatever color you want.  Works great and saves you lots of money.   Here is a tutorial http://www.projectwedding.com/forums/diy-faux-calligraphy-tutorial.

We won't have too many to address so I really like this idea!
