@ calgarybride2015 yup I chose the cheaper one ;) my resort doesn't have airbrush makeup so that's why I went with outside vendor. I picked beso brides which has tons of great reviews. so did styling trio but in the end it boiled down to the money. I'm all about pampering and splurging on myself. ..because after all that day will be captured in pictures forever so really spending money of MUAH is priority for me but spending more money when they are equally as good is a no brainer, going with the less expensive ;)

I also loved how fast beso brides got back to me. I also like that there is no deposit. The reviews say you schedule and even though there's no deposit they are there...so I'm not worried they won't come.

anyway thanks ladies for all your insights :)

hehe I have to be honest and say I don't know what you mean by airbrushing?  I get my nails done and they use an airbrush there for some things, is this similiar?

What is the difference between regular application and airbrush at the end of the day?

my photographer is the resort chosen one and we didn't have to put down a deposit either. Makes me a little nervous but that's their policy!

calgarybride2015 airbrush makeup I believe is basically the same thing as the nails you talk about. I didn't know either what is was so I asked around. The Pro of airbrush is that it lasts 12 - 14 hrs in the heat and sweat etc. thats why I'm going for it otherwise I would be doing my own makeup..I don't wear alot of makeup and was worried I'd come out not looking like myself but they take a picture of what you normally look like and go from there.

Also my fear of having someone do 'normal' makeup on me! ha!

I may go to MAC and get a consult there and go that route. Atleast then I have some product to keep using!

Not sure yet!

@@calgarybride2015 its a little different than the nail application. Basically airbrushing (in most cases)=silicone based make up application. Silicone doesn't break down as easily and can stand up to sweat and contact better than your average make up. The make up is applied with forced air creating a mist that is buildable and I find it creates a more even, flawless look. Longer lasting with most clients stating that it stayed in place without budging for 12 hours, some say it will last even longer. Again, very buildable so its easily tailored to any brides wishes. Can cover acne scaring, skin discoloration, or any other imperfection really. I have covered sun burns and sunglass lines many a time. :) I believe if you visit temptu.com one of the menu options is before and afters and that really shows what airbrush is capable of.

I'd have to email the resort to see if they do it - their price list at the Spa is very extensive, heck you can get your highlights done there if you'd like....but for make up all it says is 'makeup' and 'makeup test'   Make up is $85 CDN which seems steep to me, or am I just cheap? haha!

@@calgarybride2015 not steep if its airbrush service lol A little steep if its not but that also depends on the type of products they are using.

MAC doesn't even charge that!

Maybe it is airbrushing, they seem to be a pretty modern resort. I shall ask!

All the things I've read here over the last almost 4 years say that if you can get airbrushing, do it. It makes a big difference if you're getting married at a time of year that is really humid. It does last longer and the coverage is supposed to be awesome! I'm going to do it. I was ok with my make up when we got married but it definitely was done before the end of the day. If we're able to go ahead with our plans next year, I want Styling Trio and the airbrushing for sure!

I own my own airbrush and use that most of the time.... Mac makes a professional foundation used in airbrush machines that is supposed to be great... I have had good and bad results with different brands of product but it definitely lasts longer without looking cakey! Getting the right color is key.
