Most of the resorts that are not "adult only" are kids friendly!

Now Larimar is great as well as Dreams Palm Beach. Grand Palladium and Melia have lots of kids activities but at the same time they are pretty huge (with little trains running thru the resort) so keep in mind depending on the kids age, it might be a pretty long walk for kids from the room to the beach and other way around (or make sure you get a room close to the beach)  Either way I'm sure kids will love it!!!  We live in Punta Cana and our toddler can spend hours on the beach playing in the sand.
