ok i'm going to try this for the 4th time - for some reason it keeps getting deleted so apologies if this shows up 4 times.

@@talicea7812 - my list alone was at 220 but i have it down to about 190 now, and expect my fiance will want to slash that to MAYBE 100. his list on the other hand is a whopping total of 8! left up to him, we would have the package minimum of 24, if that.  he's a bit of a loner and is awful about staying in touch with friends. the only reason he's still in touch with his bestie from middle school (who'll be his lone groomsman) is because the friend makes most of the effort to remain in touch.  my list is so large because my parents both have pretty large, close knit families & also have a good number of close friends who are like family.  throw in my friends and it's a wrap.  unlike him, i think going the destination route means it is ok to invite whoever you want since i expect more than 1/2 not to show up. however, if i was getting married in my hometown, i would have to be more selective because almost everyone would show.  i learned this from watching what happened with my sister's wedding and when i threw her respective wedding and baby showers - each time only about 5 people failed to show up.

@@KScheer - i hear you and will be sure to share my feedback and pics with you.  have you picked a location? what's your date?  :)

Nope my last name is Scheer. Well, for now at least :)

Now looking maybe I am wrong about the Coco Bongo. But for sure there is a Senor Frogs in Playa del Carmen.

I think my situation is similar to u just reversed.  Im the loner while my FI is the social butterfly.

as for family.  My only fam is my mom.

My FI...his family is small-med.  Many aren't coming tho. I don't think they're very close. Only the immediate family is coming.

  • 1 year later...

There is a coco bongo both in playa and cancun...

Im headed to the brides rehearsal at azul fives October 25th 2015. My wedding is booked for June 3rd 2016

I really agree the lomas site is frighteningly limited. Although I hear great things about the resorts I can't find much info on this company and an $800 fee for every outsourced, DJ or band or photographer is steep. I won't hesitate to take the actual wedding off site if they can't accommodate my colors and style

I'll also let you know what I find
