Punta Cana Photographers

Did anyone use photographers from Punta Cana that were outside of the resort they got married at? Who did you go through and what were your thoughts/opinions? How far in advance did you book them? I also really want to do a TTD session and am curious how they fit that in, did they do that the next day, did it cost more, etc. Thanks!

I am getting married April 2014 at the Hard Rock and my FI and I decided to use an offsite photographer. We decided to go with HDC. I choose this particular photographer based on some reviews I saw on here as well as examples of his work from his site. I booked him fairly early, around Septmember b/c I didn't want to risk him not being available on my date. Also, my resort does have an outside vendor's fee.

I love shooting in Punta Cana, specifically the Majestic Colonial and Elegance! They do a great job with their Brides and always allow me to roam free throughout the resorts. With the Trash the Dress, generally we do that shoot the following day either in the morning as the sun rises or in the evening just before it sets. Great choice, you'll love the TTD session, it's so much fun! With my Destination Wedding Collection I include the TTD as part of the package, it's just too much fun not to do

It's good to book your photog as soon as you're comfortably able to in order to block off that time. I leave for a DR wedding next week and return again in late March. Naturally, you can save on travel costs if the photog is already there at that time. Happy planning! http://blog.vaughnbarry.com
