Hi All:

We are trying to narrow down photographers & videographers to meet with when we go down on our scouting trip.  Has anyone worked with Blue Lens Caribe?  Would love to hear feedback as there isn't a lot on the web reviews wise. Since we will have to pay the outside vendor fee, we'd love to have the vendor do both video and photography.

Thanks!

They were recommended by my wedding planner at Be Tulum, so we booked them for videography.  They've been very responsive and we liked what we saw of their work.  Our wedding is in May, so I'll let you know how it goes!

Thanks very much HoyaBeth! :) I'll be on the look out!  Since I can't have my "dream" videog (Monachetti), there work was the next best thing!

@girlinthecity97: Have you considered bringing someone down with you? Often the prices of the best videographers down here are inflated because they know people will have to pay higher prices if they want good quality. That's what happens when there isn't a ton of competition to keep the prices low.

Our friend from Vancouver just shot this for us last May. I'm not saying fly him down to film for you or anything, but having him film for us was much more affordable than anyone down here. Maybe you could do something similar?

Here's a blog post with more info on our friend, if you're interested: http://loveandrum.com/marry-me-katy-mikee-in-tulum

@@MrsHK - thanks! I will look into this. Unfortunately, the photogs I like stateside have pretty high quotes to do the wedding (e.g., $5K not including air & min 3 nights stay just to shoot for one day). The same was true for videographers.  Now's the time I wish I had a wedding photog friend instead of a fashion one. He refuses to shoot weddings

Hi all!

Quite of a topic bump here --but I just want to make sure this information is out on every Blue Lens Caribe post out there: Blue Lens Caribe Photography has been rebranded as WeddingDayStory in Riviera Maya.

And who's WeddingDayStory, you might ask.

We are a family of wedding photographers & videographers devoted to celebrating the simple romance of weddings in the sun. We have been in business for 10 years now, from Dominican Republic & Costa Rica to Mexico (first in Cabo, now Riviera Maya). So, Blue Lens Caribe has ceased to exist as brand for the last two years. It just got together with WeddingDayStory, but the latter name was the one that reflected who we are the best, so we kept it.

Helping our friends out is a big deal for us-so if you have any questions, need any information, or just want to have a quick chat, don't hesitate to reach out to us! On top of the channels that appear on our signature below, you can also choose to schedule a call with us, no strings attached   ^_^ To do so, click here: https://calendly.com/weddingdaystory

Happy planning everyone!
