acw271011
Congrats and welcome to the site! Have fun with it and happy planning! Just something to maybe ease your mind a little. The WCs at the resorts are always busy with brides whose wedding is very close. It's a little frustrating but as your date gets closer you will be much more in communication with them on details! Try not to stress. It will be beautiful and you'll wonder why you ever worried! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
laynee
liz24 I have only been in contact with a coordinator a few times so far. My assigned coordinator hasn't contacted me yet and from what I am told they will contact me two months before the wedding date so hopefully I hear from them in the next few weeks. I plan on picking flowers beforehand but who knows. Someone had forwarded me the information they had from the resort and their wedding photos from last year. As far as flower and cake options go the quality of the photos the resort sent the previous bride are terrible and basically leaves you guessing as to what you're actually picking. Hopefully they improve that. My fiancé and I are getting legally married in Canada before we go so we will just be doing the symbolic ceremony, my understanding is that either the wedding coordinators or someone else they have performs the ceremony. We originally wanted to have our ceremony on the beach, but I think we're changing it to the gardens. My reasoning for that is that it's a fairly busy beach with onlookers everywhere. Even the area where they perform the beach ceremony is packed with vacationers (I'm going based on the beach ceremony photos I have found). Lastly, our group is about 30 people right now and I don't expect it to grow and we definitely plan on having a semi-private dinner. What are you doing for photography? iryna10
Hi Ladies My name is Iryna and I am getting married at RPM December 17 2014. My fiancé and I did a site visit this past December and we loved the resort. I have royal package and the privet dinner reception for 35 guest with open bar the quote I got was $4045.00 The problem I am running into is that they charge for absolutely everything. On top of above price I need to pay for table and chair rental, currently in process of negotiating the additional coast for reception decor ( because its not included in the wedding package) among other things. Also I have photographer Del Sol and hair and makeup from Styling Trio. The problem with outside vender, the hotel is charging a fee for them to come. So that is something to consider. Currently working on that. I would love to hear from you ladies, any advice or suggestion. Thanks

We are interested in doing a private reception but we haven't been able to piece together how much it would cost.

VeroValdez
@mariak@iryna10 Ladies I am getting married on November 6th at RPRM and I have exactly 40 quests. I am trying to see if they will let me do the semi private dinner or require me to pay extra for the private dinner. I would love to have the recption on the beach but 70 per person is a lot. What did you decide to do and have you been able to find any tips to help cut costs because they do charge for everything extra?? thanks!
