2014 Brides- What Decorations Are You Bringing

Still waiting to find out exactly what decorations are included with my wedding package, but what is everyone DIYing or bringing to help decorate their reception and/or ceremony site?

 

I'm getting married on the beach, so any simple beach ceremony site décor ideas would be great!

Hey there!!  We're getting married at the Now Jade Riviera Maya on Jan 18th....I wasn't sure what my resort had available for décor (aside from flowers), so I'm bringing a bunch of stuff with me.

Burlap table runners

Hanging paper lanterns

Place cards w/ shell holders

Table numbers

Guestbook

DIY photo booth stuff

Peach napkins

Starfish cookie favors

 

 

Hope this all fits in one suitcase!!!

Yayyy another "peach" bride   Do you have an accent color? They're out of stock right now, but they have a notification list you can join when they become available....  if you don't have any luck, I can sell you mine when I get back (I have about 100)...

I am getting married at iberostar paraiso maya--i chose the most expensive package (dream) and it only includes "basic" decoration- chairs with white linen/bows, rose petals on isle, etc

 

what do most brides do? I figure if i upgrade all the resort really offers is flowers for decorations and centerpieces??

we are bringing chair sashes and a few centerpieces with us, we are having only about 30 people so i only need 3 centerpieces. Stuff for place cards, napkins, and lanterns. My guest book will just be a bunch of postcards so i'll buy those while I'm down there and put them in the OOT bags so that stuff doesn't need to come with us...That's all

I am a Now Jade Bride October 2014 and I am wondering how you will get your stuff down there?

I'm thinking napkins, table runners, metal buckets for centerpieces. I don't want to weigh myself down too much with baggage anyone doing a photobooth?

I'm trying to figure out what to bring as well. We're getting married at the Hard Rock in Punta Cana in April 2014, and they've given us vendor info for decorations but they are both pricey. I know it would be cheaper to get the decorations Tec here and bring it with us but will they let us use it? Will they let us set it up? Or will the resort charge us to set it up? Does anyone know?
