Now that my wedding planning is in full swing, I thought I'd list out a few other traditions:

 

1) The bride puts one or two leaves of sweet basil in her shoes or stockings for good luck

2) Serving mannish water and curried goat at the wedding. Mannish water is a soup made from left over parts of the goat not used to make the curried goat (ie. the head of the goat). It may not sound appetizing, but boy is it delicious. It is said to be a natural aphrodisiac and is given to make sure the wedding night goes on without a "hitch". LOL. My groom will definitely be drinking some. shots.gif smile123.gif
