Hey!  Thank you so much for the warning!  I did actually book a photographer.  I booked Merrick Cousley.  I'm sorry to hear that you didn't receive your photos yet though.  I have heard of others using Stacey Clarke, so I am surprised to hear you are having this kind of poor service.

I know - on another group everyone is complaining about her. They say once they get their pictures it is worth it but she doesn't respond at all and it takes 5 months. Technically my payment was due to her yesterday (2 weeks before the wedding) but I emailed her on May 9 and still haven't heard anything. Honestly I would try to see if I could get someone else last minute but then I'd still lose my $700 deposit. I'm really not sure what to do...it is a lot of money to spend on someone who is so unprofessional.

@beckys98-Don't know if I'm using this forum properly! Sorry if I'm not. I don't see how she can expect payment before your wedding!! What if she choses not to show up?! We paid her in cash the day of our wedding. She is so unprofessional and has caused me nothing but stress.... I did email her the other day saying that she has until June 10th to have my pictures delivered or else I will start posting horrible reviews. I don't understand. When I booked her all the reviews were so postive and it seems in 2015 things have gone downhill! I have been in contact with several people on FB who have the same issues I have! She wrote me a FB message in March saying she was involved in a hit and run and then in april she said that she was in the hospital with dyhydration and exhaustion! I was sympatetic to both of those messages but not its just ridulous. I'm losing my patience! $2500 US is alot to lose with no wedding pics in sight!!

@budgetbride2015- "Got held up at the airport", geez I didn't even think of anything like that happening :-( I would be horrified if something happened to myself for my guest.

Ugh - I really am kind of freaking out about this. Funny you say that about her excuse because I've seen other brides say (when she did finally respond) she gave them other excuses like her laptop crashed or she couldn't get on the internet, etc. etc. That is just not okay with me and, yes, $2,500 is a ton of money! To be honest, the brides who did eventually get their photos - I'm not sure if they ever got their albums or slideshows??

 

I just emailed WPAJ and, on a long shot, asked if any of their photographers are available on my date. They were in my top 3 and since they have several photographers I'm thinking one may be free that day? I just want to know if I have a viable back up option. If I do, ideally she would agree to give me my deposit back and we could go with someone else. That would be my best case scenario right now. 

 

Really appreciate your candid feedback - even though it stresses me out - it is exactly what I was worried about already! The negative concerns/issues are abundant and consistent so I know it isn't isolated.

Honestly... I know $700 is a lot of money to lose but I would suggest someone else. Even with a resort photographer at least you would have pictures of your day! I have nothing. I also was talking to some guy on Facebook, he got married December 10th and still nothing...

 

I don't know what happened this year because every review I read before I booked her was positive. If you want you can add me on facebook and I can send you screen shots of her ridiculous excuses! And if she is that busy at least have the decency to tell me instead of me being stressed out every single day. We have no pictures of our families, nothing! And its not like we can redo our wedding. I don't know what to do anymore.
