Help planning our wedding December 2014!

Hi there,

 

Myself and my Fiance are planning to get married in Negril in December 2014. We have looked at a few hotels, and looked a websites from some wedding planners, but we seem to be meeting shout doors everywhere we turn. Are we barking up the wrong tree, trying to get married in December?

I know it is the busiest time of year, but surely it wouldn't be too hard to get a venue? We don't require a lot of rooms, as my Fiance is Jamaican, and it will mainly his family attending the wedding, only my Sister and her Husband  will attending the wedding from my side.

I'd like to know, has anyone else met such obstacles or is it just us? We are feeling quite deflated about the whole thing, and we'd love to hear other people's experiences or thoughts.

We are getting married in Cancun on 12/13/14, which is a pretty popular date, but we haven't run into any obstacles. There were only 2 ceremony times left when we booked, so I'm glad we got a head start!
