Recommended Posts

I am getting married May 3rd at Riu MoBay just wondering if anyone else is getting married around the same time and how your planning is going........ A little over 6 months away, I can't believe how fast time is going by. :msnparty:

So far.... I am booked for the 4pm courtyard gazebo and Semite private dinner. We have 38 guests booked so far We booked Saab for our photographer My sister will be doing my hair and makeup (she is a hairstylist) We have 5 bridesmaids and groomsmen 1 junior bridesmaid, ring bearer and flower girl. Not really sure what to plan for after dinner yet....or if we should do a private reception?.. I booked everything through Beach Bum travel agency and have had no contact with the wedding coordinator at the resort. I am hearing she will not contact until 2 months before? :feedback:

I am getting married there January 4, 2014!  It's coming fast.  I'm not sure how big your wedding is but if it is on the larger side you can contact their wedding coordinator sooner than 2 months to let you now what you need to do.  We were told just paperwork, DJ and spa need to be booked a little ahead of time (and you contact the spa directly).

JennyMcK,

If you have your wedding photos to share, I would greatly appreciate it! We want to book with RIU but we don't know if it is a good resort to have our wedding we want. Thank you

Hi! How did you wedding go? I am getting married at the Riu in November and am starting the planning process. Anything you can give me tips on? We currently have our ceremony booked for 2pm on the beach and rented the Mahoe bay steakhouse for 4 hours 630-1030. We are just having a civil ceremony, is this what you had? Wondering how long your ceremony was? We might push it till 4 but in November the sunsets at 530 and we really don't wanna run into the issue of dark pictures. If you used tai floral for your center pieces and bouquets could you give feed back on that as well?? Thanks so much!!!!
