budget for destination wedding in Turks and Caicos 2014

Hi all,

I am planning to have a destination wedding in 2014 at Turks and Caicos. We decide to pay everything ourselves (including accommodation for families), but the resort/villa there seems to be pricey, any suggestion or tips? Also, I have no clue how to distribute my budget.

After searching online, it seems like the following additional cost is common:

flowers: 300-1000

wedding planner: 1000-2500

food: 25-50 per person

photography: 1000-4000

 

Our family will stay for 5 days, and we are expecting about 16 guests. 

Could you kindly share some information about the costs of your wedding, and any hidden costs I may overlook?
