Help in narrowing down accommodations

Recommended Posts

Hey guys I was hoping you could help me with choosing a resort in the Riviera Maya/Tulum/Cancun area. I originally had a list of about 90 and narrowed it down to those listed below. Maybe you guys could give me some insider info and help me decide.

What I'm looking for:

-Beautiful sandy beach (for swimming and maybe snorkeling close by)

-Lots of activities (both on and near the resort)

-Beach wedding

-We will probably have about 60 people attend

Reception location that is onsite but private (if not too pricey)

-My little brother is 17 so 17 and up is a requirement

-Place for welcome dinner (if not to pricey)

-Good food (my family is very picky :( )

-If you know any places that offer wake surfing and disc golf this would be a major bonus

-I am planning on having it the last week of April 2014

Choices:

-Grand Bahia Principe Coba

-Iberostar Paraiso Del Mar

-Iberostar Tucan

-Iberostar Quetzal

-Royal Haciendas

-Iberostar Paraiso Lindo

-Royal Hideaway Playacar

-Riu Palace Riviera Maya

-Grand Bahia Principe Tulum

-Secrets Silversands Riviera Cancun

-Moon Palace

-Iberostar Paraiso Maya

-Secrets Capri Riviera Cancun

-Paradisus Playa del Carmen La Perla

-Royal Playa del Carmen

Hello Jennifer,

If you are picky about food then you should only consider Royal Hideaway and Paradisus.

Best Regards,

Hello JenniferM,

If you say your family are picky eaters you might consider an off resort location that would provide the privacy your are looking for PLUS we have good caterers in the area who take pride in what they do and we are happy to recommend!

Feel free to reach out and we would be happy to help!

Happy Planning!

Joyce

Joyce is completely right!

There is no comparison between hotel's food vs a good caterer's food.

Best Regards!
