Check out the palace resorts, they have locations in mexico, and the dominican...I booked in Cozumel for June...they have some really really nice beach set ups...and they have a FREE option. Thats ONE of the things that sold me, plus they have some outstanding reviews. Check it out, and congraulations.

Palace does not have Dominican Republic anymore, they used to manage the Hard Rock but they have now separated and Hard Rock is under their own administration. - I  learned this when I first look at their collections that it mentions Hard Rock, I called Palace and they told me. I was uncertain myself about DR or Mexico but being that I had decided on Palace because of all their amenities, I went with the Moon Palace.
