Reception in convention center/ballroom

Recommended Posts

Hi ladies,

so we had a couple people drop out and were originally going to have the wedding in the ballroom but with only 20-22 people will it look silly having a huge ballroom? My grandmothers in her 80s and we have some people who might not love hanging out on the beach due to temps (plus I don't really want to pay extra for lighting) but now I am reconsidering. Does anyone have a picture of a wedding in the ballroom?

Thanks,

Shauna

Also I don't think it would look silly to have the ballroom for a smaller group. I'm sure they could put some sort of nice partition or curtains up to cut the room up and make it seem more intimate, or the pool area idea sounds nice as well!

My two cents is that even with a divided ballroom (you know how they close 'sliding doors' that partition it out), it wouldn't look so great.   You always have to spend more on decoration indoors than outdoors.  So that's a point to consider.

I, myself, am planning on having an indoor reception, but with a larger guest count.  If I had yours, I'd do it outdoors.

Either way, it will be beautiful!

Good luck
