To me having a reception at Sandals wasn't worth the money. The total price of reception for 8 people was around 3000, I feel like we could get a much better deal if we went off property.

wow, that is a lot for 8 people ... how much was the dinner reception per person?

The cost of the reception varies. It is very expensive to pay for a full reception sit down dinner and open bar; $75 per person. We chose to get married at 4pm and meet back for a 7:30 reception, giving our guests a few hours to go eat. We're having open bar and a DJ for $24 per person for 3 hrs (1st hr should be free) Hope this helps!

There are cheaper versions, but they catch you with the add ons. For example every table cost $100, just for the table. Costing an extra $10 per person. You are getting open bar and dinner for now $55 per person, but not including the music, cake or decorations. All of those components will be added on, the overall cost can get quite pricey.

We figured that our guests paid for an all inclusive resort and to pay for a sit down dinner would be silly. The great thing is, Sandals provides a free dinner rehearsal the night before your wedding, if you have 10+ rooms booked. You can get a sit down dinner for your guests and still have an affordable reception.

BB wedding is free, but you'll end up paying for addons and if your guests are off property, it's very costly, you wouldn't ask guests pay for their own guest pass.ues

i did still do sandals and stayed with bb. you are right, addons can be costly. i only added a few things. i upgraded my bouquet because was the one i really wanted. the girls bouquets were like 65.00 and I only need 2. the guys boutidneeres are 25.00 and i only need  3. I did not do steel drum, etc. i also didn't do the professional photos. i am d doing the disposable wedding cameras, they are personalized and they have table tents. my guest will take pictures as they see things and leave cameras and they we go get all the photos developed.

i did give my guest options for different resort, but also let them know the cost of day pass as well as cost associated with transportation to/from their resort or hotel to ours. my wedding is at 4pm. i decided to do the 1hr reception with hot/cold appeitizers and i anticipate maybe  20-30 guest.  that is  15.00 per person, plus after wedding, and reception, we  can all jtust go eat together at restaurant. it is all inclusive.

So - I haven't read through all the post on here.... but based on the title I thought I'd throw some info in.....

I am getting married at a Sandals in St. Lucia... on the Sandals website there are two "partner" photographers listed... I emailed on about pricing

I simply asked for a price list.

I got a reply asking where I am having my wedding and how many family/friends I will have attending.

I replied saying that I hadn't booked anything yet and I have 20 people in my group.

I received a full price list with details of each available package.

I then got another email saying that if I am staying at a Sandals they only offer a 4 hour $2000 package.

They have have a 4 hour package on the normal price list that is less money and comes with unlimited pictures (the sandals has an up to amount of photos)

I thought that was odd - not sure if every "partner" has limited packages available or if it is just this one... worth looking into  if you are considering this.
