I'm having a lazy day, letting the kids watch cartoons while I play on my computer and drink coffee.

Jenny2014 you're braver than I am! When we lived on the 12th floor I wouldn't go any farther than the door, even though we had a huge balcony.

Ah no, it wont tak forever! We'l just keep posting random posts like this (a bit sneaky, but hey!), and it will all add up!!

Love a lazy day every now and then!

My fiancé was ready to go somewhere one day and I told him I just needed 3 more posts before we could leave. He thought I was nuts, but now he asks how many I have left. It's become a nightly ritual/game. After each post I announce 8 more, 7 more, all the way down to 0. It's pretty ridiculous! Lol!

Thank you! Yeah, I try to get at least 5 posts a day, only joined last week so dont think Im doing to bad. I know I sort of hijacked this forum as after much deliberation we decided NOT to have a Destination Wedding, but will have an AHR. So Im kind of limited to posts I feel I can respond too... Looking for ideas though for the AHR and somewhere where I can vent my excitement as we are keeping our wedding secret from family & friends.

But after being on this forum for a week, Im starting to feel we should have arranged to have our elopment wedding in Jamaica or even a full blown DW with some guests. I just know OH would freak if I were to mention to him that maybe we should just have a symbolic "non religious" blessing or something like that on the beach. We just arranged the paperwork to have our Civil ceremony here at home, last week. And our wedding plans and honeymoon plans have been around the world about 3 times!

The site is crazy helpful though. I've never been too savvy in party planning.. so planning a wedding was a lot of guess work at first... but now I've gone as far as writing the ceremony script, building my OOT bags, doing iron-ons for my bridal party.... things I probably wouldn't have done without the site....

Keep on trekkin....

Will get there! Agree, so many great ideas on this forum!

Renting is almost not worth it anywhere in Southern Ontario, it's insane... We can't afford to rent a real house, but hope to buy one maybe in 5 years. Kind of frustrating.

I didn't think about talking money with family and friends. No kidding that would be awkward. Definitely a TA then, I just need to find one. I'm giving myself until January 2014 to have things booked and STD's sent out so I have some breathing room there at least. I think a year is good notice for this kind of thing, right?

Oh you'll get there! You're already at twice what I am lol

I only have a boy, but my friends who has girls often tell me of their attitude! Some of them were real little madams at the age of 4 or 5!

A few years ago when the "boom bust" in Ireland we were considering of emigrating. To me Australia is soo far away (many Irish people emigrating there) so for a while we were thinking of Canada. But it is such a big move (specially when you have children & a house with a mortgage and its NOT a sellers market). I was looking at renting houses in Canada but it looked very expensive! For now we have decided to stay put where we are.

That is so funny. We've talked about moving over to the UK a lot. At this point we're staying here in Canada, but it's still an option for later.

Oh yeah, same here,  we havent completely abandoned the idea of a move either. We'll see what the future brings!

And Canada is still a good option! Is the cost of living high?

It really depends where in Canada you want to live. Some places have a very high cost of living, and others quite low.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
